Gearing up for the trade deadline, here is whats coming from my sources:

Pheonix and Colorado have been on the horn for quite some time this evening. A sign something is a float.

Ponikarovsky is definately getting traded. Source isnt sure what team but the final contract faxes are being sent as I type this.

DONE DEAL. Sutton, a big, mean defensemen from NYI will give Ottawa some quarterbacking on the blue line and will some size. NYI grab a second round pick.

My source just told me there is "no way in hell" Huet is going to the Leafs. Interesting.

There have been some moves but no bluckbusters from any of my sources yet. The Alberts deal fell apart but Boston is still scrambling.

Blues and Hawks finalize a trade - Blues get Fallon from the Hawks for Toivenen, Richmond. No one saw that one coming...

Sources say the Bruins are going after the 'Canes Alberts. No word on what the offer was or if it was countered. Bruins are hunting hard core for a defensemen.

Floridas Jordan Leopold is likely going to Pitt for 2nd round pick in 2010.
Tarnasky, Dvorak and Seindenberg are 3 more Panthers that have had paperwork hit the fax machine, bound for who knows.
